The 120th Carver Old Home Day took place last Saturday under beautiful sunny skies. The original purpose of Old Home Day was to bring friends and neighbors from all sections of town to meet, enjoy each other’s company and exchange ideas. Transportation has changed in the last 120 years so this year people came from thirteen states including Arizona, New Mexico and Florida. The purpose is still the same and smiling people reconnecting with old friends could be seen throughout the park.
The oldest attending was Louis Paduck(86) and the youngest was Aubrey Proctor (2 months). The person traveling the farthest to attend was Peter Walsh from Tucson, AZ (2800 miles) and the person attending the most Old Home Days was Joyce Mazalewski (74).
